The Deal Diary is a weekly breakdown of commercial transactions — M&A, disputes, regulatory matters, IPOs, and everything adjacent — written for people trying to understand how the industry actually works, one deal at a time.

There's no fixed template — each writer structures their post however suits the deal. Most write-ups end up covering some mix of the same ground, though:
